The Maricopa Community Colleges comprise ten colleges, two skill centers and numerous education centers dedicated to educational excellence, meeting the needs of businesses and the citizens of Maricopa County. Each college is individually accredited, yet part of a larger system ¿ the Maricopa County Community College District.
The District is one of the largest higher education systems in the world and the largest provider of health care workers and job training in Arizona ¿ a major resource for business and industry and for individuals seeking education and job training.
Degrees, Courses & Transfer Opportunities
Whether just out of high school, beginning or re-entering college or seeking lifelong education, the Maricopa Community Colleges offer a wide range of opportunities. Seven Associate Degrees, 933 Certificates of Completion and 9,930 courses are available.
Flexible course delivery includes online, televised, traditional classroom, hybrid, mail, accelerated, evening, weekend and open-entry/open-exit choices.
Transfer agreements with public and private colleges and universities enable seamless transitions to four-year institutions.
Tuition & Fees
Maricopa County residents pay $60 per credit hour. A full-time student will pay $1,800 annually in tuition and fees.
Workforce Development
The Center for Workforce Development brings industry and education together to discuss and plan curriculum and faculty training, partner employers to the college that best meets their training needs and serves as a central resource for the most current labor market information and national data on economic and workforce trends.
Business and industry partnerships, on-site training and campus-based training are designed to improve the skills and efficiency of employees, saving employers millions of dollars in improved efficiency and creating a stable workforce.

Educational and career advisement is available to students as well as the greater community. Career Centers offer one-on-one career planning assistance and access to:

The Maricopa Community Colleges are committed to ensuring that the Greater Phoenix economy has a skilled labor pool to meet the existing and emerging needs of business and industry.
More than a quarter million students attend the Maricopa Community Colleges each year. Enrollment is expected to reach 400,000 by 2012. Current student demographics include:

The Maricopa Community Colleges employ close to 1,300 full-time faculty, augmented by approximately 4,000 adjunct faculty who are specialists in their fields. Administration, management and support-staff make up the rest of the 8,015-strong workforce.
