At Camelback Desert Schools, our goal is to prepare students to be academically successful, capable of transferring their knowledge and skills to new challenges, and confident in their ability to succeed.

Kachina Country Day School

In July 1983, the Board of Kachina Country Day School purchased the Paradise Valley Day School from Carl and Kacki Vinsel. Kachina Country Day School started with an enrollment of 170 students in grades preschool through fifth grade. By 1985, the enrollment had increased to 300 students. In 1996, Kachina Country Day School received a charter contract from the Arizona State Board of Education

Phoenix Country Day School

The mission of Phoenix Country Day School is to provide students with a distinguished college-preparatory, liberal arts education for the growth of the whole person and as a foundation for success in college and in life.

Phoenix Country Day School is a nonsectarian college-preparatory school with an enrollment of 750 in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12. A rigorous liberal-arts curriculum prepares graduates for admission to the nation’s top colleges and universities.

The student/faculty ratio at Phoenix Country Day School is 9 to 1. The School is organized into a Lower School (PreK-grade 4), a Middle School (grades 5-8), and an Upper School (grades 9-12).

Extensive facilities on the 40-acre campus include: fully integrated computer infrastructure; modern science labs; art studios and music building; gymnasium, swimming pools, tennis courts, athletic fields, and outdoor play areas.
